Libertarian Candidate Brandon Lape Seeks to Restore Civil Liberties

Mount Vernon – Libertarian Brandon Lape officially launched his campaign for congress February 1 at an event in Mount Vernon with friends and family. He will be on the Libertarian ballot on March 17 for Ohio’s 7th Congressional District.

Citing his concerns of how bipartisan politics are tearing apart the country, Brandon decided to run as a Libertarian as a third choice to fix what is being destroyed. He plans to work to restore civil liberties, push congress to exercise fiscal responsibility, and address social entitlement issues.

Lape currently serves on the County Executive Committee for the Knox County Libertarian Party of Ohio. He works full time at Ariel Corporation in Mount Vernon as an IT Specialist and is involved in charity work though his local masonic lodge.

Lape attended the University of Akron and in 2002 he relocated to Knox County to start his career in Communications and IT at Verizon and then Knox Community Hospital. He currently resides in Danville with his wife Lisa and their 2 children, Simon and Miranda.
